Figma plugins

Building the tools behind the work

Most briefs come with a problem that has nothing to do with the idea: a hundred sizes to set up, a deck that keeps changing, a print handover, a brand rule that has to be measured every single time. When the same task comes up more than twice, I start thinking about whether a plugin could do it better.

Over the past few years I’ve designed and built a library of Figma plugins for production, presentation, handover and brand control. Some are published on Figma Community through BrandOSX, many more are internal tools at BRX, and a few are built around a single client’s brand.

The brief: take the repetitive, error-prone parts of digital production and make them faster, more consistent and easier for the whole team.

My approach: I start from the designer’s side: what slows people down, where mistakes creep in and what the finished file needs to look like. I design the interface in Figma first, then build, test with the team on live jobs and refine until the tool disappears into the workflow.

The result: a growing toolkit used across campaigns every day, from naming and resizing hundreds of assets to building charts, tables and print-ready files without leaving Figma.

The idea:

Every awkward brief is a chance to build better.

Client work is full of small, specific problems. Solve each one properly once, then never by hand again.

Public plugins

A selection of my tools is available to everyone through the BrandOSX profile on Figma Community.

  • Auto Tidy: keeps presentation decks in order, with names, spacing, page numbers and dates updated from one panel.

  • Graph Easy: editable bar, line, pie and timeline charts built from your data, ready to update later.

  • Table Easy: editable tables from typed or imported CSV and Excel data.

  • Name Easy and BatchName: consistent bulk layer naming from reusable patterns, with a preview before anything changes.

  • Scale X: precise resizing by width, height or percentage, in pixels or millimetres.

  • FontSnap: rounds fractional font sizes to whole numbers in one action.

I also build and publish a small collection of personal plugins, from Adobe transfer tools to simple copy helpers.

What they do

Production

Sizes become frames, layers get named and resizing is exact to the pixel or millimetre.

Presentation and data

Editable charts and tables from real data, self-tidying decks and export to PowerPoint.

Handover and brand

Print, motion and Photoshop prep, plus brand checks that catch issues before feedback does.

Looking back

Small tools that make the whole team faster.

The impact: Seven plugins are public on Figma Community and more than twenty run behind BRX and client work, taking set-up, naming and handover off designers’ plates on live campaigns.

What I took from it: Every tool started with a job that was harder than it needed to be. Building them taught me to read a brief from the production side too, and to treat each awkward request as a chance to make the next one easier.
